Bad Mother Nature release killer rock ballad ‘At The Gates of Olympus’

‘At The Gates of Olympus’, the new single from Bad Mother Nature, is a rock gem. This four-piece Sacramento band consists of a pianist, two lead singers, two lead guitarists and a thunderous drummer. They bring a unique sound to the table - refining a balance between driving guitar riffs and nuanced, progressive piano. It's a sophisticated sound that involves great songwriting and musical craftsmanship.

This is a song with a touch of The Black Keys meets Deep Purple meets Fleetwood Mac. Raucous rock guitar and groove, and insatiable piano melody is sleekly produced. The choruses are super catchy and feature genre-bending vocoder vocal. There’s a really interesting middle instrumental section, and the track later shifts to half time as we hear an epic guitar solo. This song really has you entranced from start to finish.

Since their inception in 2016, Bad Mother Nature have been steadily grinding away at California’s clubs and dive bars. They’ve toured the entire US west coast, including stops at The Viper Room and House of Blues Anaheim. Corey Allred and Axel Ahrens switch off on bass and guitar, giving a unique sound to each song. Younger brother Ryan Allred holds down the piano and shares lead vocals with Axel. Meanwhile Jon McCann serves as a human metronome on the kits.

The band’s latest track, "At the Gates of Olympus," is the 6th in a string of singles to be released leading up to a brand new full-length LP in early 2021. It follows "Porcelain Martyr," their first full-length album released in February 2019, in addition to their 2018 debut EP "Strange Weather”.
