Charlotte Champian Delivers Sleek Soul Album

UK Talent Charlotte Champian has just released her sparkling, sleek new album entitled 'As The Summer'. What we love about it most is it's intricate musical arrangement, mix of styles and the unique voice of Charlotte herself. A talented songwriter and musician, Charlotte is classically trained and has now dived into the world of soul, pop and jazz with this multi-faceted album.

Charlotte's musical influences include Lianne La Havas, Laura Mvula, Brooke Fraser, Joni Mitchell, Birdy and Jacob Collier. Charlotte is passionate about writing uplifting music and songs that talk about real life issues that we all face. Furthermore, as a musician with a hidden disability, she is also working to make her music as accessible as possible and raising awareness about physical and mental health in the music industry.

The album title, As The Summer, is a line taken from featured song Lemon Sky that encapsulates the atmosphere of the whole album. It is also a nod to her previous artist name, As the Summer, which comes from her Chinese name 夏丽 (xià lì) which means ‘summer beauty’. Beautiful as the summer. As the summer.
