lazing with unapologetic attitude and a voice that commands immediate attention, rising alt-rock artist Chloe Star has unleashed her brand-new 5-track EP, 'APT 1101'. Led by the searing, high-voltage single "Bad Habit," this project firmly establishes Chloe Star as a bold new voice for the next generation of rock-pop outsiders and visionaries, masterfully fusing raw vulnerability with punk-inspired fire.

Born of Indigenous and Persian heritage and raised between San Bernardino and Los Angeles, Chloe Star’s artistic journey is deeply personal and undeniably powerful. Drawing inspiration from legends like Janis Joplin, Amy Winehouse, and Kurt Cobain, while channelling the contemporary edge of Willow, Jessie Reyez, and Billie Eilish, Chloe’s work is both intimate and incendiary. 'APT 1101' stands as her most dynamic project yet, a testament to her evolving artistry.

The lead single, “Bad Habit,” is a raw and honest confrontation. Chloe explains, “‘Bad Habit’ is a take on the rebellious energy that often breeds creative inspiration that I think people are sometimes too afraid to tap into. It’s also a song about confronting the problem — and realising that sometimes, you are the problem.” This self-awareness, delivered with a punchy, high-voltage energy, makes the track instantly relatable and profoundly impactful.

Written and recorded in New York City, “Bad Habit” was co-written and produced by Alan Markley (Nat & Alex, Jack Antonoff’s Romeo & Juliet), and brought to life with a powerhouse studio band including Meg Toohey on guitar (Sara Bareilles, Jason Mraz), Avi Rosen on drums (Charlie Puth, Maggie Rogers), and Tim Lappen on bass (Casual Male). The track, much like the full EP, pulses with bold confidence, distorted guitars, dramatic dynamics, and enough emotional weight to feel like both a primal scream and a heartfelt confession.

'APT 1101' itself serves as a powerful metaphor—a private, internal space of reinvention, rebellion, and recovery. Across its tracks, Chloe fearlessly explores themes of identity, heartbreak, defiance, and the messy beauty of growing into oneself. Her music doesn't shy away from the complexities of youth in a hyper-aware world, offering catharsis and connection.

Chloe Star’s fearless voice is already earning significant industry attention. This new chapter, marked by the release of 'APT 1101', cements her as an artist ready not just to join, but to lead the new alt-rock revolution.
