One of Slovakia’s most formidable contemporary pop forces, Alan Murin, has returned with his deeply personal new single, “All I need is love.” An uplifting pop ballad centred on healing, resilience, and rediscovering what truly matters, the track blends warm, radio-ready production with absolute emotional honesty and a soaring, anthemic chorus. The release further cements Murin’s reputation as one of Central Europe’s most distinctive and emotionally resonant voices.

The origin of “All I need is love” is as unique as the track itself. Crafted during an intimate songwriting camp amidst the dramatic landscapes of Iceland, the song was born from an environment rooted entirely in genuine human connection. Collaborating with acclaimed Icelandic producer Halldór Gunnar Pálsson and celebrated songwriter Arnor Dan Arnarson, Murin found himself immediately immersed in an atmosphere of radical openness.

“The session started with a hug,” Murin recalls warmly. “Within seconds of meeting, Arnor asked if he could hug me. It immediately broke down every wall in the room and created this safe space where we could talk honestly about life, family, struggles, and the things that keep us going.”

Those raw, late-night conversations became the emotional blueprints for the track. Personal reflections on hardship, spiritual growth, and comforting phrases passed down from elders slowly transformed into lyrics that feel both intensely intimate and universally accessible.

Musically, “All I need is love” rejects over-processed digital sheen in favour of warmth and acoustic simplicity. A beautiful live piano performance by Pálsson anchors the track.

In a brilliant production choice, much of the rhythmic percussion comes from organic, real-world foley sounds recorded right in the room, including synchronised foot stomps, the creak of chair knocks, and the hollow thud of a guitar case. This gives the song a raw, living quality that beautifully mirrors its message of authenticity.

The single unfolds like a reassuring acoustic embrace, offering listeners a profound sense of calm and reassurance. Murin describes the song as something written equally for young children and for the "inner child" that every adult carries.

“It’s like a little anthem of support or motivation,” Murin explains. “Just a song to hug you when you need the hug.”

With “All I need is love,” Alan Murin delivers his most vulnerable work to date—a gentle, powerful reminder that even in life's heaviest moments, patience, love, and simple human connection will always be enough.
