Perth’s rising melodic metalcore/post-hardcore powerhouse GlassCastles are poised to make their mark with the release of their debut EP, Digital:Heart, a striking blend of cinematic production, emotional vulnerability, and unrelenting heaviness, led by the visceral new single “Gravestones.”

Since their 2024 debut, GlassCastles have wasted no time establishing themselves as one of Australia’s most exciting new heavy acts. Known for fusing crushing riffs with haunting atmospheres and soul-baring lyrics, the band has already shared stages with Behind Crimson Eyes and featured on the Parkway Drive Pre-Show Party lineup, earning a reputation for live performances that are both technically precise and emotionally charged.

Frontman Aaron channels lived experiences with depression and anxiety, penning lyrics that speak to the fragile intersection between human emotion and technological isolation. Nowhere is this more evident than on “Gravestones,” a towering lead single that bridges nu-metal grit with anthemic melody. Evolving from a rough demo written four years ago, the track was rebuilt from the ground up, with Grant and Scott’s guitars intertwining through a dense, cinematic mix of synths and atmospheric layers.

“‘Gravestones’ is a song that reflects feeling hopeless and unable to measure up to expectations in a world fixated on materialism and image,” Aaron explains.

Throughout Digital:Heart, GlassCastles master the balance between ferocity and feeling — pairing punishing breakdowns with moments of eerie calm and introspective lyricism. The result is a record that doesn’t just speak to the modern condition; it screams it.

With an ever-growing fanbase, mounting international buzz, and festival plans already in motion, GlassCastles are fast becoming one of Australia’s most vital new exports in heavy music. Digital:Heart is more than a debut, it’s a statement of intent from a band ready to lead the next generation of emotionally intelligent metalcore.
