Teaming up with his collaborative partner sonne for his new release 'Mixed Signs', Jacob Violet has perfected his signature sleek emo-rap sound.

The new single creates a dark and emotive soundscape through the combination of chill-trap beats and a pop punk vocal line.

Jacob Violet shares more on the meaning behind the track:

"Around the time Mixed Signs was written, I was in this super toxic sort of 'situationship' and it was always on my mind. It really signifies what I always wanted my music to, including the visual elements. It does kind of suck to be reminded of that time but hey, at least I got some good music out of it.”
