Suffolk's Alt-Pop sensation LOOME has dropped his elegant and deeply introspective single, 'Day I Died,' on May 1st, marking the second release from his forthcoming debut album Astrohearts.

Following his recent announcement of playing at Latitude Festival, LOOME's latest offering balances emotional depth with infectious pop sensibilities, adorned with lush alternative instrumentation.

With 'Day I Died', LOOME delves into the emotive side of his songwriting, creating a musical landscape characterized by restrained guitar chords, fuzzy tones, and twinkling synths. His elegant vocals soar above the intricate backdrop, delivering raw and honest lyricism that cuts deep into the listener's soul.

As the track progresses, lo-fi drums add a gentle pulse, while vibrant synths create a captivating atmosphere. LOOME's infectious lead line adds to the track's allure, making it an unforgettable listening experience.

Reflecting on the single, LOOME shares, “I’ve recently learned of a genetic disorder which I’ve been told by my doctor puts my first heart attack at the age of 38, I’m currently 33. So even with a pretty intense treatment plan in place, this feels like a death sentence. Writing songs has always been how I deal with emotions, so naturally I locked myself in my studio whilst processing this bombshell.

Even though I am told I’ll live a long and healthy life with treatment, this was a huge wake-up call to how I was spending my time and what I wanted my life to be about. This song is specifically about THAT day and how even though I can change my future, I can’t change my past. Things I wish I had done differently will always ‘just be’ even if I drop dead tomorrow."

Self-recorded and self-produced, LOOME's upcoming album promises to showcase his best work to date, offering listeners a glimpse into his captivating musical universe.
