For all its experimental edges and mythological references, MUNINN is, at its heart, a deeply human work.

maq 22 approaches themes of existential dread, love, and memory not from a distance but with raw immediacy. His distorted delivery often feels like a confession screamed into the void, yet beneath the urgency lies a tenderness that grounds the chaos.

Tracks like “Burn The Sigil” embody ritualistic release, transforming private struggle into communal catharsis. Meanwhile, “Europa” channels the metaphor of Jupiter’s moon into a search for hidden truths, echoing the artist’s journey of self-discovery. The lyrical content may speak of ravens and myth, but the emotions are universal: fear of loss, hunger for meaning, the fragile beauty of connection.

On the release, maq 22 shared, “MUNINN is a dystopian and visceral exploration of my inner world, delving into themes of existentialism, love, and the battles of the mind.”

What makes MUNINN powerful is its refusal to choose between intellect and emotion. It is at once cerebral and visceral, mythic and intimate. By embedding personal history within dystopian textures, maq 22 has created a project that resonates beyond sound—an exploration of what it means to wrestle with memory, identity, and the shadow self.
