After more than 20 years of quietly building a reputation as one of Ireland’s most emotionally resonant songwriters, Peter Doran has officially entered a new era with the release of his sixth studio album, All the World is Running on a Mystic Code. The album is already generating buzz for its evocative songwriting and cinematic scope.
The 10-track record blends folk roots with ambient, alternative, and experimental touches. “Mystic Code” opens the album with a slow-burning sense of wonder, while standout tracks like “Clockwork” and “Never Say Goodbye” delve into deeply personal territory. “Clockwork,” in particular, explores Doran’s emotional state during a tense moment in his life—waiting for news from a prenatal scan during the pandemic.
