Simantinee Roy Makes History with 'Colors' on Subway Surfers Soundtrack, Celebrating Holi

Indian American musical artist, entrepreneur, and corporate leader Simantinee Roy has added another milestone to her illustrious career, becoming one of the first Indian vocalists to collaborate with the iconic mobile game Subway Surfers. Featuring on the game’s latest soundtrack alongside co-singer Aniket Hashiya (by Spotlife Studio), Simantinee lends her voice to the vibrant track 'Colors,' celebrating the Hindu festival Holi.


Subway Surfers holds the title of the most downloaded mobile game of all time, with over 4 billion lifetime downloads. Last month, players were transported for a limited time in-game to Mumbai in celebration of Holi, which included a culturally rich soundtrack that brings Simantinee’s dynamic vocals to a global audience.  


A Trailblazer in Music and Beyond Simantinee Roy is a true force of nature. A versatile artist, she has shared the stage with several Bollywood legends including Bappi Lahiri Shreya Ghoshal, Shaan to name a few  Alongside her music career, she is a Director at a global technology giant, a civil engineer, a double Master’s degree holder (including an MBA), and a passionate advocate for South Asian representation in music. Simantinee is also a lymphoma cancer survivor and a former beauty pageant titleholder (Miss East India and Miss Tripura).


Through her company Spotlife Studio, she has led a groundbreaking collaboration with Saregama, India’s oldest music label, to launch Saregama Openstage in North America. This platform has already elevated 100+ South Asian talents in less than six months, providing a space for emerging artists to showcase their music.


Empowering Women in Music In honor of this year's International Women’s Day, Simantinee is extending a call to action for female artists to join Spotlife Studio’s growing community. As a woman of South Asian origin, she understands the challenges of breaking into the music industry and is determined to uplift and mentor other women pursuing their artistic dreams.
