Irish folk duo The Winter Codes is coming back with their upcoming LP Set The Darkness Reeling and its lead single Too Sly To Die. The LP was recorded in the famous Grouse Lodge recording studio which housed Michael Jackson as he recorded and lived there. This LP works with the member of Irish Folk Punk sensations Blood Or Whiskey Barney Murray, and virtuoso musician David Walshe. With the influence of classic Irish folk, we can hear the strings and the percussive elements, the band embody a unique spirit that generates a sound quite unlike any other. This LP will also showcase the pure love and devotion for the band country with a thrashy and attitude-filled flair balanced with an emotional tribute to their fallen band member.
The root of the latest single ‘Too Sly To Die’ is the traditional Irish Folk with an uplifting and positive punk twist. The music video is also filmed in Dublin Landmark pub The Cobblestones which is one of Dublin’s oldest neighbourhoods, the bar is synonymous with music from the region. The Winter Codes join the annuls of such musical greats.
