V1V1D Builds on Viral Success With New Single ‘Tongue Rings & Tattoos’
Rising hip-hop artist V1V1D enters his next chapter with ‘Tongue Rings & Tattoos’, an energetic new single bringing a carefree edge to the atmospheric rap sound behind his rapidly growing success.
Following breakout tracks ‘Timeless’ and ‘Stuffin’, which have collectively generated millions of streams, V1V1D is beginning to establish his place within a new generation of hip-hop artists moving between contemporary trap and atmospheric rap.
‘Tongue Rings & Tattoos’ switches up the mood of his previous material. Where V1V1D has often explored personal experience, identity and the uncertainty of figuring life out in real time, the new track pushes introspection aside in favour of spontaneity and pure energy.
His own description of the record gets straight to the point: “This shit slaps.”
That simplicity reflects the track itself. Built around high-energy production and V1V1D’s instinctive delivery, ‘Tongue Rings & Tattoos’ is designed around immediacy, capturing the rush of living in the moment without weighing itself down with unnecessary explanation.
The release arrives as V1V1D continues to experience significant growth online. Alongside millions of streams for ‘Timeless’ and ‘Stuffin’, audio featuring ‘Timeless’ has now surpassed 300 million views across TikTok and Instagram, helping introduce his music to an audience far beyond traditional streaming platforms.
Rather than attempting to repeat the same formula, however, V1V1D is using that momentum to expand his musical identity.
His wider catalogue combines atmospheric production and introspective songwriting with the harder edges of modern trap, while ‘Tongue Rings & Tattoos’ places fun, confidence and immediacy firmly at the forefront.
It marks another side of an increasingly versatile artist, one capable of moving between reflective records and tracks built simply to hit hard.
With millions of streams already behind him and hundreds of millions of social media views pushing his music towards a rapidly expanding audience, ‘Tongue Rings & Tattoos’ finds V1V1D widening his sound while enjoying the momentum of his breakout moment.
