Alfreda Dazzles with New Single ‘Frankie’

London-based artist Alfreda has once again captured the public's imagination with her latest single, "Frankie," a mesmerizing addition to her Mother’s Makeup EP. Following the poignant "Nude," the spell-binding "Lipstick," and the powerful chic-pop "Guest Room," this fourth single completes a compelling narrative arc, showcasing Alfreda’s diverse soundscape and creative vision.

"Frankie" is a masterful blend of emotional depth and stylistic evolution. The track opens with a raw, Lennon-esque emotionality, immediately drawing listeners into its intimate world. As it progresses, the alt-pop ballad transforms into a vibrant 70s disco gem, reflecting Alfreda’s unique ability to seamlessly merge different musical eras and styles.

The narrative behind "Frankie" is as intriguing as the music itself. Alfreda describes the song as a journey through lust, obsession, and mistaken identity. "Frankie is about the time I fell hard for someone (admittedly I hardly knew him), and then once when we bumped into each other he got my name wrong," she reveals. "I took this anecdote and have developed it into a sound bite where I become this 'Frankie'. I become someone else and give in to everything I believe men want. Frankie is easy. Frankie is a good time girl. Frankie messes around and doesn’t get hurt."

In addition to her musical endeavors, Alfreda holds a cabaret-inspired residency titled "Bedroom Tales" at the recently revamped House of KOKO in London. This residency allows her to blend music and cabaret in an intimate, engaging setting, further cementing her status as a versatile and dynamic artist.

With support from leading music publications such as Wonderland, Notion, and Clash, Alfreda is swiftly establishing herself as a captivating new voice in contemporary music. As she invites audiences to lose themselves in her enchanting world, "Frankie" promises to be a standout track in her evolving discography.
