Dela Paz Leans Towards His Indie-Pop Influence On New Single ‘Favorite Dress’

Mexican-American Pop artist Dela Paz shines on his new single ‘Favorite Dress’. Made in collaboration with beatmaker and producer WOLFGANG PANDER, the new single see’s Dela give an Indie-Pop twist to his R&B infused Pop sound to great effect.

Blending muted guitar lines with punchy electronic drums and airy synth lines,‘Favorite Dress’ sets an upbeat indie backing under Dela’s stylistic breathy, melancholic vocal delivery. With an ear-worm chorus that demands a second listen, the single demonstrates a strikingly complete sound despite being only Dela’s third release.

Speaking about ‘Favorite Dress’, Dela said: “Favorite Dress portrays a difficult stage in a relationship as a couple highlights their past, their desire of not giving up and their fear of making the same mistakes again. This is a song for those who have gone through a heartbreak which one learns from. It shows how through heartbreak, some things never change.”

Drawing inspiration from the likes of Blackbear, Jeremy Zucker, Maisie Peters, Lauv and Isaac Dunbar, Dela’s sound is as relatable and commercially viable as it is honest and musically mature. Having opened shows for the likes of rap legend Busta Rhymes and now working with Lyrical Opposition, Dela is hoping to take his career to the next level.
