Get To Know: Fast-rising Talent Loké

Loké is an artist who is always wanting more. With a diverse discography, Loké has song structures that are very unique and contrary. Born in Houston, Texas, the 21 year old artist grew up and is currently living in Odessa, Texas. The independent artist writes, records, mixes and masters his tracks with the motive of inspiring others to pursue their dreams.

So firstly, how would you describe your sound?

I’d like to say my sound is unique, versatile and new.

What’s a typical day in the studio like for you?

A typical day in the studio for me definitely consist of the speakers knocking until the right beat is found, once that’s done the writing process beings until it’s time for recording. I try to do it all at once so the vibe isn’t loss the next day. Thankfully I have my own bedroom studio so I can make it happen this way.

Do you have to be in a certain mood to write music?

I feel like it depends, being a independent artist it’s complicated because there’s others stuff I have to do other than record every day, but when it comes time to writing and recording I feel like I can do it any day of the week. The only thing is that depending on my how my mood is that day influences the type of music I make that day in terms of energy.

Who are your three biggest musical inspirations?

My Biggest musical inspirations are definitely Hopsin, Logic and J.cole. Hopsin was a big reason I got into hip hop in general but Logic and Cole were the ones who inspired me to write and to be myself when it comes to being an artist.

Who is the best band you've ever seen play live?

Funny to say, but as many concerts that I’ve performed in I’ve never actually been to another concert that I’m not performing in.

What’s the toughest part of the industry for you?

Getting the right eyes and ears on me, I feel like I have the music and personality to be a lot of people’s favorite artists but I just need the right people to see my stuff.

What’s the most enjoyable part of the industry?

Creating and Performing are the best part. Ain’t no better feeling than seeing peoples faces light up when your performing your own song.

What’s in store for you for the rest of 2021?

I just dropped a project titled “Dreams & Routines” right now my focus is on dropping video for this last project, doing features and getting my next project that I’m looking forward to dropping later this year.
