Get To Know: Jupitxr

Jupitxr, is a native of Calgary, Canada, and has been making his way up the charts, landing him as the next big thing in the hip-hop community. One of his recent releases spreading like wildfire on major streaming platforms is his self produced single “Pure.” Jupitxr being as dedicated as he is, isn’t satisfied with just his single dominating globally. He is prepping the release of a visual album that teases to be one of, if not his best work to date. If he keeps this up he’s going to be the biggest artist in Canada soon.

- So firstly, how would you describe your sound?

I would describe my sound to either be wavy on certain songs or high energy with a little sliminess on others. For my beats I make them bang with a lot of bounce.

- What’s a typical day in the studio like for you?

A typical day would have me working on beats and sending them out to start and then recording my own music, some days are different then others and it just depends on my vibe if I feel like making more beats or recording more that day.

- Do you have to be in a certain mood to write a song?

I don’t have to be in a certain mood but I like to feel good before starting, but whatever the mood is helps spark my creativity for whatever type of vibes I make that day .

- Who are your three biggest musical inspirations?

I listen to a lot of UK music right now so I could say D block Europe and drill artists such as Dutchavelli or Central Cee inspire me, I can always listen to Future as well with his deep catalogue.

- Who is the best band you've ever seen play live?

The best artist I’ve seen love would have to be Future.

- What’s the toughest part of the industry for you?

Finding things that are legitimate in the industry is definitely a little tough because everyone is finessing some type of botted playlists or fake marketing so you just have to be careful with who you work with to market your music.

- What’s the most enjoyable part of the industry?

The most enjoyable part would be creating music with other artists or producing for other artists because it’s always nice to see what kind of creativity and art gets made with someone else.

- What’s in store for you for the rest of 2021?

I’ll have one more single coming out at the end of 2021 and other then that just preparing for the next year, having my releases ready and shooting some music videos to make sure I’m ready to go.
