Richard Jellinek is a composer, lyricist, producer and above all guitarist from Poland. A real musical prodigal son - after more than a decade of silence he returns to his greatest passion - music.

The music he creates is a powerful ROCK referring to the best sounds of charismatic bands of the 80's and 90's.

In his music you will find beautiful, easy to sing melodies and characteristic guitar riffs and solos.

Richard focuses his lyrics on important things, feelings and everyday problems. All this is given in energetic sounds.

Richard Jellinek is a music motivator. He tries to motivate people by his lyrics and uplifting words.

In his music, Richard shares his deepest feelings and emotions in moving lyrics and emotional sounds.

Richard loves traveling, good food, boxing, roller skates, reading books, and above all, he loves spending time with his family. By the way, Richard is also a marketing expert, he has published a marketing book.

Richard released 6 singles and actually works on album which will be released until end of 2021.

- So firstly, how would you describe your sound?

The sound I create you can name very easy – just ROCK. But if you wanna dive deeper you will easily find great fascinations and influences of the 80's and 90's.

So, Richard Jellinek play modern rock but related to the best songs of 80’ and 90’ rock sounds. Nice melody, powerful riffs, easy recognizable choruses it is this what you find in my music.

- What’s a typical day in the studio like for you?

This question sounds funny to me because my studio is located in my home. So there are busy days when I try to record songs or just tweak something all day long, but also times when I'm in the mood and play for a while and there's something interesting to record and do it instantly.

All in all, there are very hard days when I can't do anything quite good as I want and very easy, full of creativity like one night when I woke up at 3am I couldn't sleep, went into the studio and in 2h I made and recorded riffs and solos for my first single with Filipino singer Melody.

- Do you have to be in a certain mood to write a song?

Most of my songs were made in a certain mood. I am a very emotional person, I am a sensitive thinker, a person who lives deeply in memories, almost anything can move me... If I am in the mood, there comes a time when creative ideas come to me. Melodies usually spring to mind when practicing or playing spontaneously.

Almost all of my texts are made during long sports walks (10-20 km), which I do several times a week. Then I probably look crazy when I walk fast holding my iPhone, create lyrics, sing to it, try to come up whole song, trying to match the best lyrics with my emotions and melodies.

- Who are your three biggest musical inspirations?

I am not very original in this case. Now I have a few bands that I like to listen to, but I think I should mention the first ones that made me open to music and start playing guitar. The most important were the rock legends of the 80's. The first was the well-known Polish band Lady Pank. Then two bands well known to every rocker - Europe and Scorpions. Actually, I don't listen to them too much now, but they were the first ones who really influenced me and made Richard Jellinek a musician ;)

- Who is the best band you've ever seen play live?

This band is Scorpions… It was a magical moment to be there in 2009 in a small town in Poland and see them live for the first time in my life. A legend, a band that was so important in the first steps not only in my musical life, but also when I was growing up. The band that was the backdrop to so many important moments in my life.

- What’s the toughest part of the industry for you?

I think the most difficult thing for an independent musician is not being able to promote music, not having a manager, not having budgets to promote. Many musicians believe that as long as they make good music, it is enough for them to be discovered. Unfortunately it doesn't work that way. Nowadays, in the age of social media and easy access to publish music on multiple platforms, 100 times more bands create music. How can you find a new band, discover and remember in this mass of thousands of new bands? There is no chance for this with no support of big label, quite big budget or real massive doze of luck.

My advantage in this situation is that music is not my profession, but a great passion realized after hours. I am a marketer on a daily basis, I have been running a digital marketing agency for 20 years, I even wrote the book "Three Pillars of Business on the Internet" which is a guide to the world of digital marketing. So music is my passion, I don't have to make money from it. It is pure pleasure in which I invest a lot.

- What’s the most enjoyable part of the industry?

Opportunity to share your feelings and creativity with other people. For me, this is the time when I can deliver an important message, when I can motivate people with my music. I can also tell some very important stories of my life, like about my grandmother, like in “NO ONE LIKE YOU”, pay tribute to someone who is a true mental health advocate and ambassador, like in “TYSON FURY GYPSY KING”, or just tell my life story like in “SONG OF WINNERS”

- What’s in store for you for the rest of 2021?

I have a very busy 2021 and the last quarter, due to my exaggerated ambition, will be really hectic. I have 2 more singles to be released in the coming weeks and finally an album in December. I also plan to produce 2-3 music videos by the end of the year.
