Emerging from the UK music scene with a sound that’s impossible to ignore, Perspective—KG (Lead Vocals), Liam (Bass), Ezra (Drums), and Riccardo (Guitar)—are ready to make waves with their self-written, self-produced 11-track debut album, Look Both Ways.

Two-and-a-half years in the making, this record is a bold statement: a sonic fusion of irresistible funk grooves, disco sparkle, pop immediacy, and a punch of alternative energy. The result? A sound that feels familiar enough to groove to instantly, yet original enough to make you sit up and take notice.

The album began as a simple idea: merge the classic 70s funk and disco era with modern pop sensibilities. But what Perspective delivered is something far more ambitious—a collection of songs that tell a decade-long story of love, trauma, hope, identity, and personal growth. Written largely by KG, each track reads like a chapter in a musical diary, balancing vulnerability with celebration, heartbreak with empowerment.

“The songs were all written and finalised from a present perspective – looking back at moments in time and understanding them through where I am now. It’s about taking some of life’s biggest challenges and recognising the growth that has come from them,” KG explains. “We wanted the album sequenced in a way that could be listened to from beginning to end with no skipping. It’s an album that works whether you’re partying or just having a chilled night in.”

Standout tracks include “Take Them All Down,” a euphoric, guitar-powered love anthem that’s already the band’s most successful single, and “Skeletons,” a raw, powerful closing ballad written six years before the band formed, which confronts trauma and vulnerability with unflinching honesty. Elsewhere, “Hurt You Anymore” turns heartbreak into a triumphant dancefloor anthem, “Late To The Party” celebrates coming into your own truth, and “Stay Tonight” captures the playful rush of new romance.

Musically, the band shines in their ability to craft songs that are both layered and approachable. Liam’s basslines lock in grooves that move the body, Ezra’s drumming drives momentum with precision, Riccardo’s guitar lines add sparkle and grit, and KG’s vocals convey every ounce of feeling with clarity and conviction. The fusion of influences—from classic funk and disco to modern pop—creates a sound that’s unmistakably Perspective.

Perspective’s debut is more than just a collection of songs—it’s a statement. A promise to inspire joy, unity, and freedom through music. Whether you’re on the dancefloor, driving through the city, or quietly listening at home, this album invites you in, pulls you close, and reminds you why music can move both heart and body. Get ready to hit play and let Perspective take you on a journey that’s equal parts emotional, celebratory, and undeniably fun.
